Serene and secure. Sunny and secluded. Blue Skies Cottage is a well-appointed and cared for villa offering the comforts of home with the splendors of Eleuthera. Rainbow Bay Beach is five minutes away by car and a popular place with excellent snorkeling in clear calm waters. For those who like the waves of the Atlantic side, the white sand of Smuggler’s Beach is only a half mile down well maintained roads. Two more Atlantic beaches are within a ten minute drive.From the porch overlooking Exuma Sound you can watch glorious golden sunrises, bananaquits and mockingbirds in the gumbo-limbo tree, schooners shifting through the Sound and fiery red sunsets. A nearby restaurant offers excellent food and local entertainment. A little further down the Queen’s Highway is Marilyn’s farm stand with fresh and tasty vegetables ranging from collards to eggplant and lots of tomatoes. Fresh fish can usually be found in the afternoons at James Cistern and Governor’s Harbour.
Groceries stores are in both those locations. The landlord is accommodating and the house is well suited for two and more people. The interior design is tasteful, the furnishings are comfortable, the plumbing works and the kitchen is fully functional.
Is it any wonder that my wife and I come back year after year?
Did I mention that the sky is almost always blue?
This was a family vacation we planned at the very last minute. Owner replied to us right away and house was available. We had a great time. House was nice and clean, with everything we needed. It was very easy to access, yet in a private and quiet area away from the main road. Centrally located in Rainbow Bay, it was very easy to visit both ends of the Island. It was our first time in Eleuthera and the island is beautiful!Recommended for: Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
We spent 15 marvellous days at Blueskies cottage! The house is very clean and full of everything things you need, and it’s really the perfect cottage to spend a faboulous holiday also with all the family (we were mummy, daddy, and two kids 6 and 8 years). We really hope to come back as soon as it is possible.
Abbiamo soggiornato una settimana al Blue Skies Cottage e devo dire che ci siamo trovati benissimo: arredamento semplice nuovo e molto carino, cucina super attrezzata, aria condizionata, insomma non mancava niente.
In casa abbiamo anche trovato a disposizione degli ospiti un libricino con tutte le indicazioni dettagliate su come raggiungere gran parte delle spiagge. Il Cottage è in una posizione strategica, è quasi al centro dell’isola e si ha così la possibilità di visitarla praticamente tutta. Rainbow bay che è la spiaggia a due passi dal Cottage è una tra le più belle!
Insomma tutto veramente fantastico. Eleuthera e il Blue Skies Cottage sono rimasti nel nostro cuore. Ci torneremo sicuramente!!!!!
Me and my friends enjoyed our stay at Eleuthera. It was a right decision choosing Blueskies Cottage because it is located at the center of the island and so we had the chance to visit both south and north end and it is near the airport. We even had day trips to Harbour island and Spanish wells. It would not be possible if we had chosen hotels/villas at the southern part of the island because of the long drive.
I would highly recommend the cottage to friends who would want to visit Eleuthera.
We had a great time in Eleuthera. The house is very well located, and it’s also very comfortable and nice. The Rainbow Bay area is a good option to discover this great island.
Clean and lovely furnished and decorated cottage. Beach on Atlantic and Caribbean sides of the island close by. Correspondence with the owner was excellent and the cottage was clean and lovely decorated. Cannot mention any restaurant as October was low season an most restaurants closed. Grocery stores in James Cistern and other villages availabe. We definitely can recommend this cottage. Rainbow Bay Beach down the road is excellent for swimming and snorkeling.
Blue Skies cottage is strategically located in the heart of Rainbow Bay, in the middle of Eleuthera Island, making it the perfect home-away-from-home ‘getaway’. You’re minutes away from some of the most beautiful beaches on the island and just a few miles from some great restaurants such as The Front Porch, Rainbow Bay Inn and the recently opened beach front pub called The Deck.Due to its central location, and with a short drive, you can reach beautiful beaches in the north or south side of the island and other main attractions such as Glass Window Bridge. Not being located on the beach will turn out to be an extra plus at sunrise and sundown since the Eleutheran sand flies won’t be an issue! 🙂
The rental is a beautiful and quaint 2 bedroom cottage, perfect for a couple or a family with 2 children, tastefully decorated, extremely well maintained and a very clean property. Everything you’ll need for your stay is available: central AC, ceiling fans, dishwasher, microwave, dryer etc. The owners have definitely taken the extra step in furnishing the cottage in a special way to make you feel ‘at home’ during your vacation and provide detailed and courteous customer service on line.
The caretakers are very kind locals who will take care of you and remain available at all times for any needs you may have during your stay. I highly recommend this cottage – you will not be disappointed. The rental exceeded my expectations and I would definitely recommend this property to my closest friends. Hope I can get back to Eleuthera soon!
The house was clean and fresh and full of sunlight from the many windows, which I loved! We met the caretaker and she was very sweet and had thought to put fresh flowers all over the house which added a lovely touch. Directions we received in our email prior to our arrival were precise and accurate and got us exactly where we needed. The whole experience was perfect![April 2018]

The stay was amazing! The house is beautiful with a very nice yard. It is conveniently located about 20 minutes walking distance from both Rainbow Bay and Twin beaches. Upon arrival, the house was very clean and neat and went above our expectations.
Blue skies property is very clean and the freshness is amazing. The host is humble and prompt with communication. Ms Brenda the Housekeeper picked fresh flowers for our arrival and ensure the property was fresh. Great property with open concept. I love it!
BlueSkies Cottage is a perfect location for a vacation in Eleuthera with a family . We enjoyed the comfort and the quiet of the house. The cottage fitted perfectly our family’s needs with two young children. All the services in the house are good. The location is a great starting point to visit all the island.
We really liked everything – a cozy interior, the house has everything for a comfortable stay. The beach is a 5-minute drive away. You get a special pleasure sitting in the evening on the terrace and admire the surrounding garden.
Blue Skies is quiet and clean, with amazing views. The perfect home away from home.
This cottage is in a perfect location to reach both ends of the island. There is a access to amazing beaches just a short walk from your door. The night sky from the porch give the most incredible view of the Milky Way. For the price and location I can’t imagine a more perfect air bnb on the island.
The Island is magical, and the house is a great place from where to start your explorations, with two nearby beautiful beaches and a 2h drive maximum to the furthest point you can go: Lighthouse point (highly recommended!). House was very well equipped, perfectly clean and very comfortable. I would go back in a heartbeat!
Nice location allowing you to visit both halves of the island. Grocery store and liquor store close by and we even discovered a beautiful beach in Hatchet Bay that was just minutes up the road. This cottage was great for 3 of us and was well maintained. Check this place out it’s a gem.
